In most resorts, your
options are limited once the kids are in bed
because you can’t leave the sleeping children unattended, but
at Romancing the Mouse,
your options are just starting to appear…

Swimming in the pool & long days at the theme parks will exhaust young children and they will fade
early. Most will fall asleep on the way home from the park, all the while protesting
that they are not tired. Feed them some chicken nuggets, put them to bed in their
own room and they will sleep more soundly than you have seen in a long time.
The
same amenities that make your vacation home so special for the entire family during the day take on an intriguing turn once the sun goes down.

Of course, you’ll be pretty mellow by this time, too, but not too tired to enjoy a few moments reconnecting as a couple.
Put on some music, choosing from a selection of provided music CDs that include
an eclectic mix of mellow jazz and romantic strings. Send the music out to the
outdoor speakers in the lanai. Use our flickering LED candles to provide a romantic
glow and turn on the pool lights for a soft glow. Take your dinner out to the bistro table for a romantic candlelight
dinner and watch the moon reflecting off the lake.
The cuisine is not nearly as important as the atmosphere…and
the company.

When the music hits the right tempo, ask your wife to dance. Take a moment
to hold her in your arms to remind her of the times you’ve swayed back & forth on the dance floor together. No one is critiquing your dance skills, just enjoy the quiet music & the solitude.
